Grigoryev: Terrorists in Syria Perpetrate Aggressions and Violations of Human Rights
jouhina news, Maxim Grigoryev, the Russian Public Chamber Working Group –RPCWG- member, asserted, following the recent visit of RPCWG to Syria that the armed terrorist groups in Syria perpetrate many aggressions and violations of human rights principles. Grigoryev, in an interview published by Russiatoday Satellite Channel, pointed out that there are several testimonies proving the terrorist groups' acts like kidnapping civilians including foreign journalists, ransom, killings, tortures, and exploding of TV stations. Grigoryev added that the experts of RPCWG visited the Syrian-Turkish borderline zones and the so-called refugees camps and remarked the presence of armed men coming to the camps following their participation in the fighting inside Syria, saying ' so, these camps are but places for relaxation and recreation for the armed men, not to mention the medical assistance offered to them inside these camps too.' Grigoryev underscored that the situation in Syria is normal where the shops are open, the Syrians hold parties and weddings, but the citizens' life has been changed because of the imposed economic sanctions and oil-export embargo by the west. Last month, Grigoryev underlined, in statements published by the same Channel- Russiatoday Satellite Channel- that 'the element of foreign interference does not allow the Syrian authorities to implement the necessary reforms in full and that the Syrian Leadership does enjoy the overwhelming support of the Syrians.
