Two civilians killed, 10 others injured in terrorist car bomb attack in Hama

Two civilians were killed and 10 others were injured, including a child, on Sunday in a terrorist car bomb attack that rocked Mazra’et Khreis village, west of al-Salamiya city in the central province of Hama.

A source at Hama Police Command told SANA reporter that a suicide terrorist driving an armored car packed with explosives infiltrated the village and blew up the car around 3 am.

The explosion took place in the middle of a neighborhood consisting of 15 houses, resulting in the death of two civilians and the injury of 10 others, including a child, in addition to causing the destruction of most of the houses, the source added.

Director of al-Salamiya National Hospital, Nawfal Safar, said that the injured persons were transported to the hospital where they are receiving the necessary treatment.

In the same context, terrorists fired rockets on Mharda city, causing material damage only without hurting any one.

SANA reportet quoted a Police Command source as saying that terrorists fired three rocket shells on the northern neighborhood of Mharda city.

The attack, the source added, caused material damage to the citizens’ houses and properties and confirmed that no human casualties were reported.
