Army units continue mop-up operations across country

Army units on Thursday continued their mop-up operations against the armed terrorist groups across the country inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Units of the armed forces killed many terrorists and left others wounded who were attempting to attack military posts in the surrounding of al-Qaryatain, Bseeda and Maar Hattab towns in Maaret al-Nouman in the countryside of the northern province of Idleb, according to a military source.

The source told SANA reporter that a pick-up car equipped with a heavy machine gun and a mortar which the terrorists were using was destroyed in the operations.

Terrorists Mahdi al-Omar al-Mohammed, an explosives expert and leader of a terrorist group, Diaa Sa’do al-Degheim, Talal Sa’do al-Degheim, Abboud Hafez al-Shahad, Mohammed Abdulrahman al-Sayyah and Zakaraya Hisham al-Mahrouq were identified among the dead.

A military source said army units targeted terrorists’ concentrations in the vicinity of al-Arbai’n Mountain and Nehliyeh town in Idleb countryside

Many terrorists were killed and others wounded in the operation.

In the same context, the army units carried out operations against dens and

gatherings of terrorists in Damascus Countryside, killing and injuring scores of them, most of them were non-Syrians.

SANA filed reporter said that the Army gained control over new buildings in Jobar neighborhood, killing and injuring many of them.

Among the dead terrorists were Khalil Sa’idat from Jordan, Mohammad Kuzbari, Fouad Qabouni and Louay Hamadi.

Another army unit killed terrorist al-Bahi Abu Odes in Erbin town.

In Harasta, the army units clashed with terrorists, killing scores of them, including Sadoun al-Bejawi from Iraq, and injuring others.

In the same context, the army units destroyed 3 cars loaded with weapons and ammunition and a bulldozer used by terrorists to set barriers in al-

Shafouniyeh town to the east of Doma city, killing scores of terrorists, most of them were non-Syrians.

Abdullsattar al-Aurfi from Kuwait was identified among the dead terrorists.

Units of the armed forces killed many terrorists in several towns and villages in the central province of Homs and in the city, foiling infiltration attempts by some and destroying a den for others, including for groups’ leaders.

A military source told SANA that army units left a number of terrorists dead and others wounded after targeting them in separate areas in al-Waer neighborhood in Homs city, while others foiled attempts by terrorists to infiltrate from the same neighborhood towards al-Muhandisin roundabout.

The source added that other army units destroyed a den for leaders of terrorist groups in Talbisa area in the countryside.

Scores of other terrorists were left dead and others were wounded as the army targeted them in the village of Jazl and the surrounding farms in Palmyra countryside and in Ein Hussein and al-Msheirfa in Homs eastern countryside and in Jabal al-Nuaimat in the southern countryside of al-Qsair area.

Army units killed many terrorists and injured others in operations against their gatherings in the western road of al-Taiba town in the southern province of Daraa a military source said, adding that another army unit targeted terrorists’ gatherings in Atman town in Daraa, killing and injuring many of them.

Meanwhile, other army units eliminate many terrorists in al-Bajabjeh and Sweidan nighborhoods in Daraa al-Balad and in the villages and towns of

al-Taiba, Deir al-Adas, Atman and al-Saida in Daraa countryside, destroying their weapons and ammunition.

In Quneitra, units of the armed forces eliminated and injured many terrorists and destroyed a number of their vehicles in the areas of Um al-Ezam and near Mas’hara gas station in the countryside of the province. A number of terrorists near al-Alam roundabout were also killed and wounded.

Meanwhile, units of the armed forces kill and injure a number of terrorists and destroy one of their cars, leaving all terrorists onboard dead in the surrounding of al-Ajraf tank, in the surrounding of Kroum Jaba and in al-Hamidiya village in the countryside.

Units of the army and armed forces killed numbers of ISIS terrorists and wounded others, among them non-Syrians, and destroyed their vehicles and weapons in Deir Ezzor city and countryside.

A source in the province told SANA that an army unit killed several ISIS terrorists in Hweijet Sakr in Deir Ezzor city. The Iraqis Abu Azzam and Abu Bakr were identified among those killed, in addition to terrorists Mohammad Hamdan, Radwan al-Shaker and Sami Hassan al-Alloush.

Three cars and two mortar cannons were also destroyed.

The source indicated that another unit killed several terrorists from the same organization in al-Sina’a neighborhood, among them Issam Milhem and Tareq Molla Mohammad.

Other army units killed numbers of terrorists and wounded others in al-Rushdiyeh, al-Hwaika, al-Arfi, Kanamat, al-Ardi, al-Jbeileh and al-Mrei’iyeh village in the province’s eastern countryside.

Meanwhile, a military source told SANA that the army units killed scores of terrorists in the neighborhoods of al-Rashdeen 4, Hananou and al-Kastillo in Aleppo, destroying their equipment.

The source added that other army units killed and injured many terrorists in the villages and towns of Khan al-Assal, Khan Toman, al-Shqaif, Haian and

Deir Hafer, destroying their weapons and ammunition.
