Terrorists’ positions targeted in various areas, tunnel destroyed in Deir Ezzor

Units of the armed forces targeted more positions of members of the terrorist organizations in various areas in the course of their operations on Friday, leaving many terrorists dead or wounded.

An army unit destroyed a tunnel used by terrorists affiliated to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Old Airport neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor.

A source in the northeastern province told SANA reporter that the tunnel, which had been dug by terrorists and used for movement, was 30 m long, stressing that all the terrorists who were inside the tunnel were killed.

Meanwhile, another army unit clashed with a number of ISIS terrorists in Hweijet Sakr and al-Sina’a neighborhood in the city, leaving them dead or wounded.

A military source told SANA that the army units killed scores of terrorists in the eastern side of Atman and Mseih towns in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa.

In the same context, the army units eliminated score of terrorists in Bustan al-Basha, B’eideen, Salah-Eddin and al-Jaberiyeh in the city of Aleppo, in addition to destroying a number of others’ vehicles in Hreitan and Khan al-Assal in the countryside.

In Homs, the army units killed a number of terrorists and injured others who were attempting to attack some military posts in the area surrounding Mount al-Shaer in Palmyra countryside.

The source added that other army units foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate the farms around al-Waer neighborhood in the city of Homs, leaving many of them dead or wounded.

Several dens and gatherings of terrorists were targeted in Um al-Rish, al-Khreijeh, Mas’ada and Um Sahrij areas in the eastern countryside of the central province.

In the same context, army units stormed dens of terrorists in al-Za’faraneh in al-Rastan and Talaf in al-Houleh in the countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them
