The Army continues clampdown on terrorists in Idleb and other areas

Units of the army and the armed forces on Tuesday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of their members and destroying their vehicles and ammunition.

Idleb

The Army Air Force destroyed vehicles, leaving all the terrorists on board killed, near Sarmin village in Idleb countryside.

Aleppo

An army unit carried out a special operation targeting terrorists operating under Jabhat al-Nusra in the strategic al-Atareb town in Aleppo on the road to Bab al-Hawa crossing, a main infiltration route for terrorist groups from Turkey.

The operation, a military source told SANA, left a number of the terrorists killed and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.

Terrorist groups also suffered more losses as the army targeted their positions in Kfarhamra town and al-Shqeif area in northern and northwestern Aleppo.

Positions for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were also targeted in Khan al-Assal, where the army operations left a number of them dead or wounded.

The army operations continued in the city of Aleppo, with terrorist positions targeted in the neighborhoods of al-Kastello, al-Lairamoun, Bani Zaid, Aghiour, al-Shaar, Bab al-Hadid, Bustan al-Qassr and around Aleppo Citadel.

Homs

The army Aircraft also targeted terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) around the two oil and gas fields of al-Shaer and Jazal in the countryside of Palmyra in Homs, a military source said.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that a number of ISIS hideouts in Habrah al-Gharbiyeh and Izz Eddin villages were also targeted by the Army Aircraft.

The airstrikes in the aforementioned areas left dozens of ISIS terrorists killed and their weapons and vehicles destroyed.

The army units continued hunting down ISIS terrorists in and near Rahoum village in Homs eastern countryside, backed by continued airstrikes. Many were killed in the area between Rahoum and Um Sahreej villages and in al-Madarjeh village.

The source also said that an army unit killed or injured terrorists affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups in two separate areas in al-Rastan city, northern Homs.

Damascus Countryside

Army units targeted several dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Khan al-Sheeh and Beit Tima village in Damascus Countryside.

The operations in Khan al-Sheeh town, in the southwestern countryside of Damascus, many Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and others were wounded, while their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.

A gathering of terrorists in Beit Tima village, which is located in the vicinity of Hermon Mountain, received a direct hit that inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists.
