Cabinet addresses issue of terrorists dismantling factories and properties in Idleb and smuggling them to Turkey

The Cabinet discussed on Tuesday a bill on establishing penal courts for financial and economic lawsuits and a number of services issues such as challenges facing the electricity, petroleum, and water sectors, as well as means to curb the cases of arson witnessed in some areas.

Chairing the weekly session, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi said that the Iranian nuclear deal is a victory for Iranian diplomacy and the Iranian people, and that it will contribute to world peace and security.

Regarding the issue of terrorists dismantling factories and stealing public and private properties in Idleb province and smuggling them to Turkey, al-Halaqi demanded that Erdogan’s government to return these stolen properties and cease such criminal activities. The Premier instructed the Ministers of Justice and Industry to pursue this issue in international circles.

The Premier called for giving more attention to issues related to services and citizens’ living conditions across provinces, particularly in Aleppo and Deir Ezzor.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Minister of Local Administration Omar Ghalwanji reviewed the effects of the recurring terrorist attacks on services facilities and infrastructure, while the Ministers of Electricity, Water Resources, and Petroleum reviewed the steps taken to overcome the effects of these attacks and to improve the services.

The Cabinet also discussed a memo from the Industry Ministry on its vision, goals, and the challenges it faces.
