Shaaban welcomes Iranian Culture Minister’s participation in media conference against terrorism

Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban welcomed the participation of Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati in the International Media Conference Against Terrorism.

She met with Jannati on Thursday after he arrived earlier to take part in the two-day conference, which will discuss various issues including the role of mass media in confronting terrorism, journalism field work, the need to form an alliance to combat terrorism, and future visions for mass media.

Shaaban said during the meeting that the great achievements are made by the people through their unity and resilience.

“Any achievement by any country within the alliance of resistance reflects positively on all peace-lovers and all the peoples of the region,” she told Jannati.

Jannat, for his part, reiterated his country’s support for the Syrian people and leadership in their war against terrorism and extremism, saying future developments would be positive for Syria and the region after the global threat of terrorism has been officially acknowledged by the West.
