Syria, South Africa to Enhance Trade Cooperation

jouhina news, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammad Zafer Mihbek on Sunday discussed with South Africa's ambassador in Damascus Shaun Byneveldt means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The meeting tackled the possibility of establishing a permanent commercial centers and the list of products that can be imported, exported or be traded by other products. The two sides also discussed cooperation in the fields of transportation and promoting the mutual exhibitions in addition to boosting up cooperation in the private sector work. Byneveldt reiterated his country's rejection of foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs, stressing the need to search for real cooperation opportunities aiming at achieving the interests of the two countries. In turn, Minister Mihbek pointed out to the deep-rooted bilateral relations, stressing the need to enhance these relations to achieve a strategic partnership that reflects positively on the development process in the two countries.
