Five people were killed and another 37 injured in terrorist attacks with rocket shells that hit Damascus city.
A police source told SANA that a rocket shell that terrorists fired from Jobar neighborhood fell in al-Thawra Street, which is one of the crowded streets in Damascus, killing five and wounding 36.
The source said that the attack caused material damage to a number of cars which happened to be passing by when the shell struck.
The source indicated that another shell hit Baghdad Street, wounding one civilian and damaging two houses and a number of cars.
Meanwhile, five shells hit Bab Touma ancient neighborhood in Damascus city.
A medical source at al-Mowassat Hospital confirmed that the hospital received 17 people who were injured in the attack, among them two children and a woman.
Earlier, five civilians were reported injured by a mortar shell fired by terrorists on Harasta highway in Damascus countryside.
The mortar shell hit a microbus near the building of the Water Resources Establishment on Harasta highway, injuring five civilians, a police source said.
