Assistant Foreign Minister: Syria will respond to any honest initiative that leads to a solution for the crisis

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Hamed Hassan affirmed on Tuesday that Syria has confirmed time and again that it will respond to any honest and serious initiative for finding a solution for the crisis in Syria, all while working to combat terrorism and restore stability and security to all Syrian areas.

Meeting a delegation from the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the Federation of Arab Agricultural Engineers, Hassan pointed out the role of Syrian diplomacy in explaining the truth of terrorist war waged on Syria to the world public opinion and thereby change the distorted image created by biased media outlets about what is happening in Syria.

For his part, President of the WFEO Marwan Abdelhamid said that the steadfastness of the Syrian people, army, and leadership in combating terrorism has resulted in changing the stances of some western countries which had been betting on undermining Syrian state within a few months.

He added that Syria’s victory in its battle against terrorism is a victory for all Arabs and a guaranty to the security of the region.
