The Army and armed force continued Wednesday combating terrorism in different areas in the country, killing scores of terrorists in some provinces and evacuate some positions in an airport.
Homs
Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi told SANA’s correspondent that Army and Armed Forces units established full control over oil and gas fields in Jazal area in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
Al-Barazi said that this was achieved following violent clashes between the army and ISIS terrorists who exploited the poor visibility caused by the dust storms to advance in the fields around 15km northwest of Tadmur (Palmyra) city.
He added that the clashes resulted in inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment upon ISIS terrorists, leaving many of their members dead or injured while the remaining terrorists fled east in the direction of Tadmur city, noting that army units are pursuing the fleeing terrorists and advancing westwards in the direction of the city.

Rumors on terrorists’ advance in the surroundings of Damascus Central Prison denied
Units of the army and armed forces on Wednesday clashed with terrorists from the so-called Jaish al-Islam who infiltrated last night to the surroundings of some of the military posts in the farms of Tal Kurdi and al-Rihan to the northeast of Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta.
Field sources told SANA that heavy losses were inflicted upon terrorists in the arms and personnel as 10 terrorists at least were killed in the clashes.
The sources dismissed what has been promoted by some misleading mass media which claimed that the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” had advanced in the surroundings of Damascus Central Prison or that had seized a part of it.
The sources affirmed that those rumors are completely false and they come in the framework of covering up the losses inflicted upon terrorists last night.
Idleb
Abu al-Dohour Airport guarding members evacuated their positions in the Airport to center in other points after fierce battles with terrorist organizations where the guarding members showed great bravery and inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists for more than two years.
Field sources told SANA that the guarding members evacuated their positioning points after the terrorists of Takfiri terrorist organizations seized chance of the lack of vision due to the dusty air and infiltrated into the Airport.
Abu al-Dohour Airport confronted many terrorists attack attempts by Takfiri terrorists, affiliated to Erdogan and Saudi regimes, during the past two years where heavy losses were inflicted upon them.
Later, field sources said in a statement to SANA that a number of terrorists were killed during operations carried out by an army unit on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning against their hotbeds in the surroundings of al-Mouzara village in Areeha area.
The sources added that the the leader of “Ahrar Kafar Rouma” terrorist group affiliated with Jaish al-Fateh, who was known as Rahmoun Abu al-Majd, was killed in the operations.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of their members were killed in different areas in the southern countryside of Idleb.
Hama
In the northern countryside of Hama province, field sources confirmed that 11 terrorists were killed including their leader nicknamed “al-Sheikh Sa’ad” and a vehicle equipped with a 14.5 mm machine gun was destroyed during an operation by the army in Kafar Zeta town.
This coincided with killing six terrorists from “al-Islam Brigade” terrorist group and destroying a vehicle in Kasheemeh farm in the outskirts of the town.
Another army unit killed nine terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition to the east of al-Qadour gas station in al-Lattamneh town 35 kilometers to the north of Hama city.
Hasaka
Explosion in ISIS’ weapons cache in Hasaka kills scores
Dozens of terrorists were killed and many others were injured in an explosion that ripped through a weapons’ cache for ISIS terrorists in al-Houl town to the east of Hasaka city.
Local sources in the town told SANA reporter that a violent explosion took place in the town, which was later was confirmed as an explosion in ISIS’ weaponry cache that was changed from a kindergarten to a hideout for terrorists and their weapons.
The sources added that ISIS’ vehicles were seen carrying scores of dead bodies and injured from the scene to field hospitals.
The explosion also caused massive material damage to citizens’ properties in the area.
