Legislative Decree amending article 74 of Military Service Law

President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday issued legislative decree No. 38 for 2015  which stipulates for implementation of the paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Article 74(Amended) of the  Military Service Law on all the state employees who are at the reserve military service or those who joined it since March 15th, 2011, while it was including only those who join the service on August 3rd 2014 and after.

The paragraphs 2 and 3 stipulate for:

A- State permanent or temporary employees, who were summoned to the reserve military service, are granted a paid vacation throughout the period of their service.

B- Those employees continue to receive all their compensations they were receiving, including the compensations of their job they have assigned to before summoning in.

C- All state employees and those who work in private and joint sector, at military service, have the right to return to their jobs under the condition that they put themselves at the disposal of those sides within 15 days of the date of their military release.
