Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the outcome of the summit held with President Bashar al-Assad in Moscow on Tuesday with President of Egypt Abdul-Fattah El-Sisi, King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, King of Jordan Abdullah II and Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan.
The talks were held on telephone, each separately.
Commenting on the telephone call between President Putin and Saudi King, Dmitri Peskov, the Russian Presidency spokesperson said that the talks dealt with the developments in Syria, according to Russia Today website.
President al-Assad held talks with President Putin during a summit held on Tuesday in response to an invitation by the Russian President.
The two leaders discussed issues of combating the terrorist organizations and the support of the Russian air force to the operations carried out by the Syrian army forces against terrorism which poses threat, not only to the Syrian people, but also to the whole region and world.
Kremlin: No plans for any military land operation in Syria
In a relevant context, Peskov affirmed that Russia has no plans to carry out any military land operation in Syria.
“President Putin has repeatedly denied Moscow’s determination to carry out a military land operation in Syria,” Preskov said, according to Russia Today.
He added that the political solution will start as soon as the stage of combating terrorism ends.
