Qamishli Airport in the northeastern Hasaka province ran over 3,000 flights in 2015.
Carrying on board more than 10,000 arriving passengers and 9500 departing passengers, the flights were run to and
from the airports of Damascus and Lattakia in the country and Beirut and Kuwait.
Director of Qamishli Airport Mohammad al-Karro gave these figures to SANA reporter and noted that the flights were
run via the national Syrian Air and the privately held al-Cham Wings and Fly Damas.
With 208 flights during December, the total of flights run in 2015 reached 3041, according to al-Karro. Those
included 1533 arriving flights and 1508 departing flights, in addition to 109 flights to and from Beirut and Kuwait
airports.
