jouhina news, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria Adeb Mayaleh said the Bank decided to sell the foreign currency, without any limits, to the exchange institutions according to the price of the parallel market to cover the needs from the foreign currency. During a meeting with the licensed exchange firms on Wednesday, Mayaleh affirmed the Bank's determination to go ahead in the interference process and selling the needed foreign currency to the market in order to restore the price of exchange to its normal values. He assured dealers that the Central Bank is capable of keeping the price of the Syrian pound, stressing that the foreign currency reserve is enough for that Later, Mayaleh also affirmed that the Bank is ready to finance the demand on the foreign currency to fund the imports through the licensed banks according to the official exchange price to make the prices of goods in the markets stable. Meeting directors of the banks licensed to deal in the foreign currency, Mayaleh said that the banks have ability to meet all demands of industrialists and merchants on the foreign currency to fund their imports.
