Central Bank sells USD to exchange companies with 175 SYP

Governor of the Central Bank of Syria Adib Mayaleh said Saturday that the bank started to sell the US dollar to the exchange companies with 175 SYP against 1 $ , adding that this process will continue till next Wednesday.

The move comes within a series of measures taken by the government to keep the price of the Syrian pound against foreign currencies stable.

"The bank will also fund all requests of import with the price of 175 SYP against 1 $ until next Wednesday," Mayaleh added.
