Syria participates in Gulfood 2014 exhibition in Dubai

Syria participated in the food industries exhibition Gulfood 2014 which is being held in the Dubai World Trade Centre between February 23 and 27.

Head of the Syrian Exporters Union Mohammad Nasser al-Sawwah told SANA that the Syrian booth, which has an area if 174 square meters, showcased the products of 13 prominent food companies in Syria.

Sawwah stressed the importance of Syria participating in such exhibitions to promote the Syrian industry which proved its strength and competitiveness despite the difficult current conditions in Syria.

He noted that Syria’s participation is supported by the Economy and External Trade Ministry and the Exports Development and Promotion Agency.

Gulfood 2014 is a strategic platform for businessmen that allows them to conduct business directly, bringing together food industrialists, distributers and exporters from around the world.
