Army establishes control over new areas, air strikes inflict heavy losses upon terrorists

Army and Armed forces carried out on Saturday wide military operations, establishing control over new area, targeting terrorists’ dens in several areas around the country where many terrorists were killed or injured and their weapons were destroyed.

Aleppo

Army units established control Saturday over the villages and towns of Maraen, Hamimeyeh, Hamidah, Hamidi, al-Meshrfeh and al-Sabhiyeh on the southwestern side of Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment, and is still pursuing the rest on them who fled in the area, a military source told SANA.

Earlier on Saturday, the Syrian air force destroyed dens and hideouts of “Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham” (ISIS) terrorist organization in the towns of Maskana, al-Sheikh Ahmad and Um Arkila in the countryside of Aleppo northern province,

In the northern countryside of Homs Central Province, The army air force targeted the terrorist’ gatherings and hideouts in the villages and towns of al-Ghanto, Tal Abu al-Sanasel, al-farhaniyeh, Talbiseh and Tair Maala.

The army also destroyed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist organizations’ headquarters, hotbeds and vehicles, some equipped with machineguns.

Hama & Idleb

Authorities seize weapons and explosives in Hama city

The army air force targeted the hideouts and gatherings of the so-called Jaish al-Fateh terrorists in the villages and towns of al-Latameneh, skaik, al-Mestriha, Tal Hawaqs, Wadi Jafar and in the surroundings of al-Tawbah School in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama and Idleb provinces.

A number of terrorists were killed and injured, mostly of Jabhat al-Nusra, and their vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, and amounts of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the army operation.

Later, a military source said an army unit eliminated a terrorist group and destroyed a vehicle along with the weapons and munitions on board in Jub al-Zaarour village in the northern countryside of Hama province.

On a relevant note, the authorities seized on Saturday an amount of weapons and explosives in a house belonging to a terrorist in Hama city.

A source at the province told SANA’s correspondent that the authorities found a cache at the house of a terrorist in al-Farai neighborhood in the city, seizing a sniper rifle, an RPG launcher, 5 assault rifle of Israeli make, 4 fully-prepared explosive devices, an explosive belt, and large amounts of C4 and silver nitrates that are used to manufacture explosive devices.

Damascus Countryside

An army unit bombarded the gatherings and hideouts of the so-called al-Itehad al-Islami of Ajnad al-Sham terrorists in Daraiya in Damascus countryside.

The army bombardments killed and injured ten terrorists of the so-called al-Itehad al-Islami of Ajnad al-Sham, among them terrorists nickenamed Abu Qutaibah and Abu Dajaneh, in addition to Bassam Nouh, Ali al-Masri and Fadi Abu al-Rish.

Army units advanced on the axes of their operations in the Eastern Ghouta after destroying fortifications and defense lines for terrorist organizations and killing a number of their members.

Army units in cooperation with popular defense groups carried out intensive operations in Housh Admal village and its farms in al-Nashabiyeh area to the south of Eastern Ghouta.

Army units achieved new advance during the operations on Marj al-Sultan axis after destroying terrorists’ fortifications and killing a number of them.

Field sources said that a unit of army eliminated terrorists’ hotbeds in the buildings of Mercedes and Peugeot firms for cars on Harasta highway and inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon terrorists from the so-called Jaish al-Islam in the southern farms of Harasta.

Daraa

A unit of the army established control on 22 buildings to the south of the national Hospital in Daraa al-Mahata after eliminating dens of the terrorists there.

Meanwhile, an army unit destroyed a terrorist command center, killing all terrorists inside it in Daraa al-Balad area in the southern Daraa province.

An army unit also eliminated Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri terrorist organization’s hotbed to the south of the vicinity of the electricity company in Daraa al-Mahata.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and injured and their heavy machinegun-equipped car was destroyed in an army unit operation against their den on al-Ghariyat road in the northeastern countryside of the province.

Meantime, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media websites the killing of a number of their members, among them terrorist Mohammad Zaki al-Dagher.
