More terrorists killed in continued army crackdown

The army units continued operations against terrorist organizations, killing more of their members and destroying their equipment and hideouts.

Damascus Countryside, al-Zabadani

An army unit eliminated 5 terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra including a terrorist identified as Sultan Sultanov from Chechnya in a precise strike that targeted one of their gatherings in Mar al-Sultan village in the Eastern Ghouta part of Damascus Countryside.

Sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent that the army also destroyed a vehicle and a mortar launcher and eliminated 5 terrorists from the “Islam Army” terrorist organization in Zamalka.

In the fields of Hamouriye area, an army unit eliminated a number of terrorists including a Palestinian called Ahmad Makari, Nizar Makari, Mumtaz Buqa’ie, and Taisir al-Dali, while another unit destroyed a pickup truck and eliminated terrorists Firas al-Sabbagh, Hadi al-Idelbi, and Nader Samra in the town of Erbin.

The army carried out precise strikes on terrorist hotspots in al-Jalaa Street in Douma city and in the nearby Aaliya farms, leaving 7 terrorists dead including Mohammad Badran, Anas al-Hamwi, and Mohammad al-Soufi.

Another army unit eliminated the leader of the self-styled “snipers brigade” in “Liwa’a al-Islam” terrorist organization in the farms of Zibdin, while yet another unit clashed with terrorists in the farms of al-Zamaniye village, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.

In the Western Ghouta part of Damascus Countryside, sources on the ground said that an army unit established control over a number of building blocks in al-Jami’yat neighborhood in Daraya city after eliminating terrorist hotspots in the area.

In the northwestern countryside, the army and the Lebanese resistance continued their operations against terrorists in al-Zabadani city, with the operations resulting in destroying a car equipped with a heavy machinegun and eliminating terrorists in al-Amara neighborhood including Abdelsalam Khadijeh, Othman Awwad, Mohammad Zaroura, and Ammar al-Sayyed Khalil.

The field sources added that operations in the area resulted in uncovering a 100-meter tunnel dug by terrorists between al-Zabadani farms and the farms in Madaya and used for moving around and transporting weapons and ammo.

Later, a military source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, established control over Beit al-Dalati neighborhood and a number of buildings across al-Zabadani city, in addition to destroying a tunnel used by terrorist that extended from the city into al-Zabadani plain.

The source said that engineering units combed the Beit al-Dalati neighborhood and dismantled numerous explosive devices planted by terrorists and rigged for detonation, in addition to removing dirt blockades set up by terrorists on roads.

Sweida

An army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, carried out an operation against ISIS movements and hideouts in Saad village in the northeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.

A military source told SANA that the operation left a number of terrorists dead and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.

Homs

The army’s Air Force carried out airstrikes on hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in the city of Tadmur (Palmyra) and the surroundings of Jazal oil field in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment.

An army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, prevented an attempt by ISIS terrorist to infiltrate towards the mountains east of Jazal village, leaving many terrorists dead or injured.

In the province’s northern countryside, the Air Force destroyed vehicles equipped with machineguns and eliminated 14 terrorists in al-Dar al-Kubra, including Mustafa al-Masri and Khaled al-Turki.

Army units also repelled an attack by terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra who came from the direction of al-Mshairfeh al-Shamaliye towards Khattab village and from al-Saan al-Aswad towards al-Mshairfeh in al-Rastan area north of Homs city, leaving many terrorists dead, injuring others, and destroying their weapons and equipment.

Hama

In the far northwest of Hama province, the army air force inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment upon terrorists in the villages of al-Ankawi, Kalbdin, Kastoun, Dukmak, al-Hamidieh, al-Zakkoum and Tal Zajram.

Idleb

Terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra organization were killed and their vehicles and weapons were destroyed during army airstrikes against their dens in Abu al-Duhour area , Khashir and al-Majas villages in Idleb countryside.

The army’s air force launched intensive strikes against Ahrar al-Sham Movement and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Fatira village, the area surrounding Kansafra, al-Mozra and Jozef on the southwestern outskirts of Idleb countryside.

11 terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra were killed and 6 vehicles destroyed between Mhambel and al-Frikeh villages during airstrikes against their movements’ axis between the countryside of Hama and Idleb.

Aleppo

A military source told SANA that army units eliminated many terrorists in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, al-Rashidin, al-Layramoun, al-Safira, and Hreitan in Aleppo and its countryside.
